Injuries

Fell during tournament and hurt her knee at age 11; took a year to get back on her feet. In 2010, hurt back before Malaysia Games (Sukma) in Malacca. Injury near her spine and had to slow down. At 2011 world championships, fell and fractured shoulder and almost quit the sport. Injured shoulder and ankle in 2013. Took a break from competition in July 2013 and returned in April 2014. LEOTARD
In 2015, as a Muslim Malaysian gymnast, criticised for wearing revealing leotard at 28th Southeast Asian Games in Singapore, where she took home six medals, including two gold. A senior Islamic cleric supported critics and suggested gymnastics was not an appropriate sport for Muslim women. Remained defiant throughout the criticism and tweeted 'Empty cans make the most noise', while a Facebook group offered support, amassing 17,000 likes in just a few days.
