AFRICAN CROWN
Secured the 2016 African 20km race walk title in a national record of 1:19.24, but said it was a difficult journey. "I nearly lost hope along the way, pulled out of the event after clearing school, before returning three years ago. Walking is not much appreciated in Kenya and I faced sponsorship and mentorship challenges.
