Injuries

In his first competition of the 2013 season for the University of Missouri, tore the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow on his first throw. Earned NCAA First Team All-America honors by finishing fourth in the javelin at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in 2017 with a new national record of 75.38m. It was the highest javelin throw in history at the University of Missouri, and the eighth javelin All-America honour overall. "When I saw the mark on the board, it was like 'finally', because I have been working hard all year." (mutigers.com, 7 June 2017)
