Ambition: "If I'm selected for Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, I'd like to be on the podium in front of a home crowd. But if we can give the F38 shot put world record a little nudge between now and then, that would be a bonus. Ultimately, I've got my sights set on the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics - that will be for javelin, so we'll have to switch our focus." (, 31 Aug 2017)
Hero: Stew CROMBIE (AUS, twin brother), Gavin BELLIS (AUS, retired Australian Para rower), David ROBINSON (USA, retired NBA player). (, 31 Aug 2017)
Influence: My parents have had a huge influence on how I approach life, but Gavin BELLIS (AUS, friend), Hamish MACDONALD (AUS, coach) and Aaron SANSONI (mentor) have all played an amazing part in their own ways. (, 31 Aug 2017)
Ritual: "I'm not superstitious or anything but I do try to relax. I will usually do the basics like have a solid breakfast, and throw on some music to get me in the mood while I warm up at my own pace. Any opportunity to 'turn the phone off' is rare but I like to just throw the headphones in and take time to zone out and absorb the atmosphere - it helps me realise that I'm pretty lucky to be doing what I'm doing and living life by my design. (, 31 Aug 2017)
