Injuries

Reason: Took up athletics at school, where he also participated in able-bodied rowing and rugby union. Recruited to Paralympic sport in 2005, after being spotted by talent scout and Paralympian Amy WINTERS (AUS). (paralympic.org.au, May 2016)
Ambition: In 2015, he held the T38 100m world record at 10.79sec, but at the Rio 2016 Paralympics it was lowered to 10.74 (Chinese athlete Hu JIANWEN). “Winning gold medals is great and something I need to do, but now I want to bring the world record down as far as possible.
