COMMONWEALTH EXPERIENCE
Made her Commonwealth Games debut at Melbourne 2006, progressing as far as the semifinal in the 400m. Won gold at the Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games, in a Games record time of 50.10 that still stands. Also won gold in the African Championships, Continental Cup and World Championships between 2010 and 2011. At the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, ran one second slower (51.10) to place fourth and miss a medal by 0.01 seconds. (tilastopaja.eu, Oct 2017)


EARLY LIFE
Grew up around cattle, including cows, goats and an occasional donkey. They lived in Maun, a village of 50,000 people which had just one gymnasium. Mostly lived with her father, Victor Nkape, after her parents separated when she was two.
