After winning a silver medal at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, he and his partner, GOH V Shem (MAS), were given an apartment each, worth RM1 million. FATHER'S SUPPORT
In 2001 his family moved to Tawau, Malaysia, where his father bought some land. A successful businessman, his father was also a keen badminton fan and he built a nine-court badminton hall there, calling it the Tawau Badminton Academy.
