Occupation: Athlete (veloveritas.co.uk, 12 Dec 2017)
Languages spoken: English
Reason: “I learned how to ride a bike when I was really small, but the first time I actually rode a bike of any significance was in rehab. I had always loved riding, but cycling as a sport was just something I got into because of injury. I broke my ankles messing around playing football and stuff and couldn’t run properly. So I got into it to keep my fitness up and fell in love with it." (heraldscotland.com, 14 Oct 2017)
Ambition: "The worlds team sprint and riding the Commonwealth Games for Scotland. Selection in January, permitting the individual sprint, keirin and perhaps the team sprint. It'll be a great honour to represent my country, I've never represented Scotland at senior level." (veloveritas.co.uk, 12 Dec 2017)
Memorable: "To represent your country in any world championships, no matter what sport, is an honour." (trackworldcup.co.uk, Sep 2017)

INSPIRATION
It was watching the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games that opened the possibility of competing at the highest level. "I watched the racing from the stands and thought, that's what I really want to do. I trained with the Scottish team as a junior." (veloveritas.co.uk, 12 Dec 2017)
