Previous names: Carmen BISHOP (Athlete, 16 Jun 2017)
Hobbies: Swimming, riding bikes, "keeping active" (Athlete, 16 Jun 2017)
Occupation: Athlete (Athlete, 16 Jun 2017)
Languages spoken: English, Tagalog
Coach:
NATIONAL: Brent PAULING (NFK) (The Norfolk Islander, 11 Nov 2017)
Reason: Started playing lawn bowls at age 28. "Used to play tenpin bowling but there's none on Norfolk Island. I used to go down and watch them play (lawn) bowls, as it looked similar to tenpin. The bowls president then said to come and join. There's not much to do in Norfolk Island, so I started for fun. Can't run away from Norfolk Island, can't swim to Australia, so you have to do something to keep yourself preoccupied. Didn't have a coach, just learnt from the TV." (Athlete, 16 Jun 2017)
Ambition: "Win a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games. Already have two world championships, one indoor, one outdoor, and an OAM (Medal of the Order of Australia)." (Athlete, 16 Jun 2017)
Memorable: Winning the 1996 World Championships in Leamington, England. "Beat a local lady, in front of thousands of locals." (Athlete, 16 Jun 2017)
Hero: Australian lawn bowler Merle RICHARSON. "When I was younger I told myself that one day I'll be like her. I met her and she said to me, 'Young girl, one day you're going to hold a title'." (Athlete, 16 Jun 2017)
Influence: Her two clubs, Norfolk Island and Cabramatta. (Athlete, 16 Jun 2017)
Ritual: "Warm up, meditate, get my mind ready." (Athlete, 16 Jun 2017)
