Injuries

Ruptured anterior cruciate liagment in 2010, missing the Rugby World Cup in England, and again in 2016. (dailymail.co.uk, 30 Jul 2014; gothinkbig.co.uk, 11 Jul 2017)

Reason: "I always played a lot of sport as a kid, like athletics, netball and hockey, and then I picked up a rugby ball when I was about 13. My best mate at school played, then she brought me along to a local club. As soon as I played I absolutely loved it, there were quite a few less restrictions than your normal sports, so I found it quite liberating." (gothinkbig.co.uk, 11 Jul 2017)
Memorable: "Winning the World Cup (2014) was a massive one, going to Rio was absolutely huge, but I think the experience at the 2009 World Cup sevens - in our pool stage against USA where we won 19-0. We were in Dubai, so it was boiling hot and we had a really important match against them. It was just one of those games where everything seemed to go right."
