Additional information

DESTINY
Mother was born in Kingston, Jamaica. "I’d always joked with friends that my mother’s Jamaican background would lead to me playing for Jamaica, but didn’t actually know too much about the national rugby side. A friend put me in contact with (Jamaican captain) Conan (OSBORNE) and four weeks later I was in London at one of the training camps." (punditarena.com, 2 Dec 2016)

DIABETES
ADAMSON is a type 1 insulin-dependent diabetic. "I was diagnosed around the age of 11. It can be a tough one to manage and I find it hard at times. If my levels aren’t right, I can feel fatigued. But I’ve got a lot better with it. I know the level I need my blood sugar to be at for a game, so in between waking up and arriving at the game, I probably check myself five or six times, then three or four times during the warm-up before kick-off. I have it spot on now and I’ve never had to come off because of it." (coventrytelegraph.net, 2 Nov 2016)
