Though she scored among the top students on a test given to all high-school seniors, she didn’t initially apply to Harvard, but opted to head to the University of Warwick in England to pursue a law degree. Almost immediately, however, she realised she’d have to abandon her passion for shooting. "I just wasn’t ready to give it up. After a semester, I decided to leave Warwick and returned to shooting and worked with NGOs, and eventually made it back again onto the Indian Shooting Team." Over the next two years, travelled the world to compete in shooting and won bronze at the 2014 Asian Games. (harvard.edu, 18 Apr 2017)
