LONG BREAK
Swimming career fizzled out when he was 17. Took a long break from the sport, returning to the pool in 2010 at 28, and realised he could still swim. "After two months of training I beat my lifetime personal best in the 50m and 100m breaststroke at the local Essex Masters Champs – with times of 31.80 and 1:11.70 respectively."
