Additional information

IMPAIRMENT
Became a below-the-knee amputee at two-and-a-half years old, after her father Garry reversed over her with a lawnmower - an accident that has haunted him ever since. But PASCOE claims the incident was, "the best thing that ever happened to me". (telegraph.co.uk, 10 Sep 2016)

REUNION
Being such a young age at the time of the accident, she didn't remember meeting Jan BONE - the emergency department doctor who saved her life. TVNZ's Seven Sharp set up a surprise reunion between the two in March 2017. PASCOE said to the doctor: "I really want to thank you for being a part of this journey with me." (tvnz.co.nz, 17 Mar 2017)

OPEN BOOK
Her biography, Stroke of Fate, was published in 2013. "I wanted people to know about me so when they watch me race, they can feel like they know me. I really wanted to make it as honest and open as possible because I see myself as an open book anyway." (telegraph.co.uk, 10 Sep 2016; speakers.co.nz, 24 Oct 2017)
