YOUNG STAR
Became Scotland’s most successful Youth Games athlete in history, winning five medals, including three gold at the Bahamas 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games. (scottishswimming.com, 9 Oct 2017)
INSPIRATION
Attended the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games as a spectator and watched his compatriots succeed. That was the moment he decided he wanted to be a swimmer. "That’s something that will stick with me for the rest of my life, that atmosphere, the home games of Team Scotland and everyone all shouting for Ross (MURDOCH) and Michael (JAMIESON). HUMBLE
Despite his record-breaking exploits, he remains grounded and insists all the credit should go to the people who trained him.
